Cancellation of internet & landline services for business customers

You can cancel your internet and landline contract via our chat service. 

Alternatively, you can use the online form for cancelling your internet and landline services. Once you have submitted the form and it has been processed, you will receive written confirmation stating the cancellation date.

Important: Information on cancelling your internet and landline contract:

• Notice of termination must be given in good time and the minimum contract term must have been fulfilled. You will find the exact notice periods in your contract documents.
• If your tariff does not have a minimum contract term, the notice period is six working days.
• Once the minimum contract term has expired, you may terminate your contract by giving one month’s notice.
• The contract may be terminated at any time. The termination takes effect at the end of the contract term.
• If you have any rented equipment, such as a telephone system or a router, and no longer require it, please remember to cancel these services as well. Please use our cancellation form for this purpose.

You can cancel your internet and landline contract using our cancellation form.

You may exercise your special right of termination for your internet & landline contract in the following cases:

• Moving abroad: This applies only to individuals.
• Inadequate network coverage: Where Telekom Deutschland GmbH has contractually agreed to provide a certain level of network coverage (e.g. in a production hall) and this is not fulfilled.
• Failure to comply with the terms and conditions: for example, in the case of price increases.
• Supplementary agreements to the framework agreement: Where written supplementary agreements have been entered into and these are not complied with.
• Death of the contracting party: In this case, the heirs or surviving dependants may exercise the special right of termination.

You can cancel your fixed-term internet and landline contract at the end of the minimum contract term by using our cancellation form, provided you observe the notice periods.

Number
portabilityIf you have a successor for your business and wish to continue using the landline number, there is no need to cancel your contract. You can then apply to have your contracts transferred. You can find all the information you need about the process on our contract transfer overview page.

If you are moving house, you do not need to cancel your existing internet and landline contract. You can simply transfer it to your new address. We will check whether the same service (e.g. DSL speed and technology) is available at your new home. If so, the contract will be transferred without any problems.
If the existing service cannot be provided at your new address, you have the right to cancel the contract.

Important: Please let us know at least four weeks in advance if you are moving house. Contact our customer service team and we will call you back to discuss all the important details.

If you wish to switch to another provider, they will handle the cancellation of your connection.

We are sorry for your loss and would like to help you cancel your subscription.

If the account holder is a natural person, the contract can be terminated by providing simple proof of death. To do so, please use our online form and upload a copy of the death certificate.

Rental equipmentYou can arrange to return your rental equipment, such as your digitisation box, via
our returns portal. Simply fill in the form and then send the rental equipment back to us. Once we have received it, you will receive written confirmation of the return.

cancel a telephone system or a Lancom router from Telekom, please complete our cancellation form.

Internet and landline contract with a new company registration
: To transfer an internet and landline contract to a new company registration, both the transferee and the transferor must complete an application form. Please have the relevant supporting documents to hand, such as a purchase or transfer agreement and a current extract from the commercial register.

changes to the contracting party’s details that do not require a new entry in the commercial register, you must complete the ‘Changeto Contracting Party Details’ form to record the updated details in the contract.
